CURTAINS

They go by several names. You might hear them called 'ring top curtains', 'eyelet top curtains' or 'eyelet ring-top curtains'. Whatever title you choose, the design is the same: a curtain with rings sewn directly into the material, so the rail can run through the top of the curtain itself.

The top of the curtain is backed by a special heading tape with cords sewn through. Pencil pleats are created by pulling on these cords. The effect of gathering the fabric in this way makes semi cylindrical shapes from the heading. Plain and simply put, the circular effect makes it look like a row of pencils!

Continuous panel mounted on a ripplefold drapery rod. When closed, they create continuous “waves” or “folds” from one end of the track to the other and all the way down. Ripplefold drapery give you a tighter stackback than pleats which means you can maintain more of your window space when open

They have a double fold at the top to create a double pleat. They are more contemporary than triple pleats and stack efficiently with a sleek line. Double pleats are a good choice for patterned fabrics as less of the pattern is gathered into the fold.
